LUCKNOW: On Sunday (August 13), all basic and secondary schools in the state will remain open as per the directions of the Uttar Pradesh governments. The aim is to implement the Har Ghar Tiranga and Meri Mati Mera Desh programs under the Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav scheme. Special mid-day meals will be served to all the students as per the orders issued. The date-wise plan of the Har Ghar Tiranga and Meri Mati Mera Desh programs in schools has been fixed by the Yogi Adityanath government.

As per this plan, a poetry recitation competition will be held for students in all the schools on August 13. Since it is a public holiday, the government has instructed to make special arrangements for mid-day meals for all the children of the schools. An order in this regard has been issued by the Director General School Education and Director Mid-Day Meal Authority Vijay Kiran Anand.

The order issued to all Basic Education Officers states that from August 9 to 15, programs under the ‘Meri Mati Mera Desh’ campaign will be organized in all gram panchayats, nagar panchayats, and local urban bodies as part of the closing ceremony of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav scheme, following the guidelines.

Various programs will also be organized in schools on August 13 as per the instructions received from the government. The order received from the Uttar Pradesh government states that photographs of all daily events in schools will be uploaded on the departmental portal. The district-wise number of teachers and students involved in the program should also be provided to the concerned nodal officer of the directorate.
